The guest bathroom is our smallest room, and therefore the first to get worked on (we like to get some good steam going before tackling bigger rooms).

Back in March I ran across this clever bath mat on CraftyNest and decided to give it a whirl. I followed the directions pretty much to a “T,” except :
- i used a gripping shelf liner (like this one, in taupe) to allow moisture to breathe through the bottom of the mat
- i cut the corks in half with a hacksaw, which I found more conducive to cutting than a pocketknife
Read a bit more about the project here. Now, if only the bathroom was ready for it!

Oooh, I have a lot of corks and was considering this. I’m also thinking of making little “plant rests” (like the thing that would go under a plant pot just in case so it won’t leave a ring on your windowsill)
