I am a pusher when it come to my personal limits. I like to challenge myself to goals that are attainable, but give me a reason to see it through and get ‘er done. Last year, my goal to read 52 books was one of these goals. Did I think I could read 52 books in a year? Sure. Would I have read 52 books without setting the goal and holding myself to it? Probably not.
This year I’m setting the goal to run 250 miles.

I’m using RunKeeper to keep track of my goal. I already use RunKeeper to log my hikes, runs, and bike rides. The app has a goal-setting feature, in my case I put in a distance target of 250 miles by December 31, 2013.
I haven’t run since October, but might brave the cold and ice tonight to knock out a few miles. Seeing the “0% completed” bar is enough to motivate me to get moving!

This is so fantastic! You’ve inspired me to set a similar (not quite as high) goal!
