Mike never knows what I’m going to lug home from the thrift store, and he’s never that surprised when I walk in with an odd item in my hands. But even he gave an eyebrow lift when I threaded this antique wood propeller through the front door.
We had a good time hypothesizing what it once went to – an airplane? – and then I ran around the house figuring out where to put it. It was already mounted with a metal plate for hanging from it’s previous owner.
Mike and I agreed on the space above our open pantry.
I couldn’t find any studs up there so I hung it with a plastic anchor and a screw. The placement looks very comfortable, it adds a great element to connect the gallery wall to the kitchen.
